Do you have a very favorite desert? One that makes you feel like you are loved and special? My special desert is chocolate covered strawberries. This is a desert that my husband will bring home on Valentine's day or surprise me with while we are on vacation. (We love to cruise and chocolate covered strawberries are very popular on them.) I have tried to make them myself but I could never get the chocolate at the right temperature and to this day I still am not sure exactly what to do with a double broiler. That being said, when I heard about CandiQuik, I was thrilled there there was such a product.
CandiQuik is a candy coating that can be used to make a variety of candy products. The best part about it, is that there is a microwave tray that is super easy to use and and melt the chocolate in. I can make chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels, raisens and more without making any sort of mess!
My daughter and I used the chocolate bricks to make chocolate covered bananas and then stuck them in the freezer for a frozen desert. We took popsicle sticks and stuck them through the middle of the banana. We then rolled the banana on a stick in the melted chocolate, let the chocolate cool and then stuck the whole thing in the fridge. It tasted heavenly and my six year old was thrilled that she was able to make desert for everyone. This product is a win-win!
